2013-12-27 JMA reported a preliminary analysis results of long-term global temperature change on 24 December, "Global temperature for 2013 to be ranked 2nd on record (Preliminary)" (PDF:181KB).
2013-9-26 JMA issued "Extreme summer conditions in Japan in 2013 - Summary of analysis by the TCC Advisory Panel on Extreme Climatic Events -" (PDF: 1.6MB) on 2 September, which mentions global warming as a possible cause for long-term trends of rising temperature in Japan.
2013-8-2 "The 10th Plenary Session of GEO (GEO-X) and the 2014 GEO Ministerial Summit" will take place in Geneva, Switzerland on 14-17 January 2014.
2013-6-14 JMA updated an oceanic carbon cycle issue on 31 May, "Ocean acidification in the western North Pacific".
2013-6-5 "Synthesis Workshop on the Carbon Budget and Forest Ecosystem in the Asian Monitoring Network (The 20th Anniversary of the Takayama Site)" will be held in Takayama, Gifu, Japan from 24-26 October.

2008-3-25 "The 2nd GEOSS Asia-Pacific Symposium" will be held in Tokyo, Japan on 14-16 April, 2008. OCCCO will organize the parallel session for "Monitoring and Predicting Climate Change". Please make a registration through the symposium web page.    
2008-3-25 "Asia-Pacific Workshop on Carbon Cycle Observations" has been held in Tsukuba, Japan on 17-19 March, 2008. About 25 scientists and specialists from Australia, China, France, Korea, India, New Zealand and Thailand were participated. About 40 scientists and specialists from Japanese ministries, agencies, organizations and universities were participated. See the report on APRSAF web page.
